Abstract

This article aims to analyze the current police system of incomplete cycle of police from the point of view of efficient public management, as well as the need to change to implement the complete cycle of police that has produced better results in the fight against crime. For that, a theoretical research was carried out through books, articles, consultation in works already done and also field research through a questionnaire applied to military police officers in courses at the Military Police Academy of Goiás. countries that adopt the complete police cycle homicide rates are lower and crime elucidation rates are higher than those found in Brazil, which demonstrates a greater efficiency of this police model, as opposed to the incomplete cycle system adopted by Brazil. In addition, through field research, it was possible to conclude that the vast majority of the questioned police are in favor of implementing the complete police cycle. Therefore, it is recommended that efforts be made by the competent authorities to analyze the possibility of reform in Brazil's current police model, in order to produce better results with the use of less public resources.
