This study sought to understand the context of the policy of confronting drugs in the Cuiabá District, State of Mato Grosso, during the State Plan State Plan to Combat Drugs, according to the criminal trafficking processes processed in the Cuiabá / MT District, established in the year of 2012 and broken down to formulate the defendants' profile, the characteristics of the facts and the procedural procedures. The research is exploratory with documentary support and a quantitative and qualitative approach, designed as a case study. The analysis sample was formed by the trafficking processes initiated in 2012 and sentenced until June 2013, in the two Specialized Courts of the District of Cuiabá - MT, based on information from the database system of the Court of Justice of Mato Grosso, from descriptively. The data were submitted to content analysis and manually tabulated. The results indicate a necessary debate regarding the model of police action related to Law no. 11,343 / 2006.
