O PAPEL DA TECNOLOGIA COMO FERRAMENTA DE TRABALHO DOS POLICIAIS MILITARES NA ÁREA DE FRONTEIRA MATO GROSSO / BRASIL - BOLÍVIA

Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyze the importance of the technology used in military police activities in the western border region of the State of Mato Grosso and the neighboring country of Bolivia. This is a qualitative approach, with a theoretical basis in bibliographical research. Application of questionnaire was the technique used for data collection in the field work. The target audience was a military police officer stationed at the 17th Military Police Battalion of Mirassol D'Oeste-MT, a unit responsible for 11 municipalities and police units in the western region of the Mato Grosso border. Sampling for convenience consisted of 52 police officers out of a total of 155 military personnel. The radio communication system was pointed out by the interviewees as the most useful technology material for the police service in the frontier area. The lack of quality of the system was pointed out as the greatest difficulty encountered by the police to develop the work, besides the lack of effective police. The results indicate the main points that make it impossible for the police to carry out their work with greater effectiveness in relation to the use of technology and need the attention of the managers
